The Projects feature within Flowtly’s Business Management System is designed to streamline the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. This comprehensive tool allows teams to collaborate effectively and ensure timely project completion. With advanced project management capabilities, Flowtly helps organizations to improve productivity and achieve project goals efficiently.

Key Features

  • Time Tracking allows employees to log their hours spent on various tasks and projects. This feature provides accurate data on how time is being allocated, ensuring transparency and accountability. Employees can log their time daily on multliple projects. Time can be logged against specific projects and tasks, enabling detailed tracking. Managers can review logged hours, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines. Flowtly offers integration of Time tracking feature with Work Schedules, which helps log time along with reviewing work time planned.

  • Project Management provides robust tools to manage projects from inception to completion. This feature ensures that all aspects of project planning and execution are covered. Break down projects into different phases and manage each phase separately. Assign employees to specific tasks or phases of a project, ensuring that the right resources are allocated. Assign and manage budgets for different projects and phases, ensuring financial control and accountability (Note: Budget module needs to be active). Set and track project deadlines to ensure timely delivery.

User Roles and Access Options (Projects)

In Flowtly, users have access to different options based on their assigned roles. These roles determine the level of functionality available to each user. Specifically, for project management, user roles can be broadly divided into categories:

  • ROLE_ADMIN: Grants full administrative access to all system functionalities.
  • ROLE_PROJECTS_MANAGER: Provide permissions focused on project management: create projects, define rates for employees, split project into phases, etc.
  • ROLE_WORKING_HOURS_VIEWER: For employees who need to access and review working hours data (timesheets) without making any modifications.
  • ROLE_WORKING_HOURS_MANAGER: This role allows view employees working hours logged (parent role for ROLE_EMPLOYEES_VIEWER, ROLE_WORKING_HOURS_VIEWER).
  • ROLE_PROJECTS_BUDGET_MANAGER: same functionality as ROLE_PROJECTS_MANAGER.
  • ROLE_ACCOUNT_MANAGER: This role allows for managing all aspects of projects and clients functionality.
