Overview

The Budgets module in Flowtly Business Management System (BMS) is designed to provide organizations with a flexible way to plan, monitor, and manage their financial resources effectively. It ensures better allocation of funds, improved transparency, and a higher level of financial control across projects and departments.

Key Features

  • Budget Creation and Planning: Granularity levels (monthly, quarterly, annually); Dynamic updates; Multi-Currency support; Individual and Common budgets.
  • Budget Groups: Budgets can be grouped, where a budget group is treated as a standalone budget itself.
  • Integration with Transactions, Projects and Invoices: Link budgets directly to specific projects or their phases; Attach invoices to budgets, with the ability to allocate amounts; Track and allocate expenses within the system.
  • Budget Summary: The summary includes charts, making it easy to identify potential issues, or areas of improvement at a glance.
  • Costs Lists and Diagram: View all costs associated with a budget in a detailed, categorized list and interactive diagram.

User Roles and Access Options (Budgets)

  • ROLE_ADMIN: Grants full administrative access to all system functionalities.
  • ROLE_BUDGETS_MANAGER: Responsible for creating, editing, and overseeing all budgets within the system. This role has comprehensive access to budget-related functionalities. (Needs to be combined with other roles to have access to all budget-related functionalities) This is parent role for: ROLE_BUDGETS_VIEWER.
  • ROLE_BUDGETS_VIEWER: Provides read-only access to view budgets, summaries, and related data. Users with this role can analyze budget performance but cannot make modifications. -** ROLE_PROJECTS_BUDGET_MANAGER:** Responsible for managing budgets specifically related to projects. This role includes oversight of budget allocations within individual projects or phases. This is parent role for: ROLE_PROJECTS_MANAGER.
  • ROLE_PROJECTS_MANAGER: Manages the creation, editing, and progress tracking of projects and their phases.
