Common Holiday Settings

In Flowtly, as a manager, you have the flexibility to establish common holiday settings for your organization, ensuring that your holiday management process aligns with your company’s policies and operational needs. These settings can be customized to streamline approval processes and categorize different types of holidays. To update these settings, navigate to the Settings item from the main menu of your organization and select Leave types tile.

Approval Count

Refers to the number of approvals required for a holiday request to be finalized and accepted. This setting is crucial for ensuring that holiday requests are properly reviewed and authorized before being confirmed.

To set up the approval count for your organization, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Settings item from the main menu.
  2. Select Leave types.
  3. Provide the number of approvals needed for a request to be validated.
  4. Save the changes.

For example: if you set the approval count to 2, employees' holiday requests will remain pending until 2 individuals with the designated role approve them.

Holiday Types

All holiday types can be found and adjusted in the organization settings also under the Holiday types section below Approval count section.

We offer a list of the following holiday types: army, client office, coaching, disease, family matters, marriage, not paid, on demand, pick up day, remote, vacations. Each holiday type has its specific color and icon to make it easily distinguishable at a glance.

You can edit this list depending on your company policy. If you need a holiday type to be not possible for an employee to request, then simply deactivate its status by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Settings item from the user context menu.
  2. Select Holiday types.
  3. Click on the Pencil button (Edit mode) for the holiday you want to deactivate.
  4. Untoggle Active.
  5. Save the changes.

To make this holiday type possible to request by your employees, simply follow the same steps and toggle Active.

Additionally, in the same Edit mode, you can specify whether a description is required for specific holiday type when requesting or creating a holiday. This feature provides flexibility to ensure that all necessary details are included for better clarity and record-keeping. For holiday types where a description is not required, the description field will remain optional.
